What We Think
One of the biggest hopes after Hasina's government fell was that student wings would stop scaring and beating up ordinary students on campus. Chhatra Dal, as BNP's student wing, is now in a position of power with BNP running the government, which makes this kind of incident worse, not better. If the new ruling party's own student group is doing the same intimidation the old one did, that is a clear failure to live up to what students fought for in 2024.
