What We Think
Minister Tuku's words go both ways. Since BNP government came to power in February 2026, cases involving extortion, land grabbing, and tender manipulation have not ceased to rise. PM Tarique Rahman himself has publicly told party leaders to stay away from criminal activity, yet the violence continued. If "being in government doesn't mean someone has become something great" is the standard, BNP's own grassroots record so far doesn't clear it either, and a minister lecturing on decency would land better if his own party enforced it first.
